In a Return to Sandy Hook, the JSP Foundation celebrated its 12th Annual Summer Celebration with more than 400 guests attending. Laurence Downes, Chairman and CEO, New Jersey Resources was Dinner Chair. Honorary Dinner Chairs were Senator Joe Kyrillos and Susan Doctorian Kyrillos.
The event honors New Jersey leaders in promoting New Jersey's coastline as a resource for recreation and marine life and a major contributor to the state's economy. This year the Summer Celebration honored Bob, Bill and Pat Healey, owners of Viking Yachts; Ray and Jay Cosgrove, owners of Bahrs Landing and Marina; and Gef Flimlin, a marine extension agent the Rutgers University Extension project.
More than 20 shore area restaurants presented elaborate dishes with fish provided by seafood suppliers from Atlantic City to north Jersey. The early summer event reminds people of the importance of our beaches to the state and the need to be vigilant year-round to protect our beaches from erosion.
