With 127 miles of coastline featuring white sandy beaches, sparkling waters, boardwalks with food and fun, dazzling casinos, sport fishing and boating, the Jersey Shore has long been a favorite vacation destination.  From Monmouth and Ocean to Atlantic and Cape May counties, the Jersey Shore is a unique natural treasure and a major contributor to the state’s economy.

In 1991, when the brutal Halloween storm hit the shore, the receding shoreline provided little protection for the coastal communities, and the wind and tides created havoc with roads, boardwalks, buildings and the beaches themselves.

Since then, more than 50 million cubic yards of sand have been pumped on to New Jersey beaches. Roads that regularly flooded with every moon tide are now above water in even the worst storms.  Much of the credit for this improvement goes to The Jersey Shore Partnership, Inc. and its continuing efforts to raise the awareness of state and federal officials and the general public to the need for safeguarding the shoreline through beach restoration and other shore protection methods.

In 2006, the Jersey Shore Partnership Foundation, Inc. was established as a not-for-profit 501©(3) for the purpose of sponsoring educational activities, raising funds and awarding grants for the support and promotion of the Jersey Shore Partnership, Inc. and its several purposes.  Contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law and will be acknowledged in membership communications.

We invite you to membership in The Jersey Shore Partnership and invite you to explore its website and its related links that will keep you informed of coastal issues and the Partnership’s continued efforts to protect our beaches.
